Updates de la rentrée

Hey you,

First off, did you have a great summer? (And yes, you can totally DM me to tell me about it, I could use something to read).
As for me, pretty chill. I worked a lot, took a full 15-day break with 10 of those days spent abroad, just to recharge and come back ready to crush it for everyone.

New fiscal year, new stuff!

Yep, I close Printiverse's fiscal year on June 30th, so for me, the new year starts in July. But since summer is pretty laid-back, it feels like the new year really kicks off in September.
And hey, it’s also a good excuse to make some new resolutions that I probably won’t keep. And since we’re on the subject, that’ll be the theme of the next paragraph.

So, what are my resolutions for this new year?

  1. Change up my organization
Right now, I’m all over the place. I’m producing, reading emails, answering DMs, and making coffee all at once. So, I end up screwing things up, reading the same email three times before it clicks, not replying to DMs, and drinking cold coffee.
SO, I’m going to force myself into a routine where I check emails twice a day and respond once a day (unless it’s a conversation or something urgent, obviously).
    Same goes for DMs.
And I’m going to plan production steps better so I can batch repetitive tasks during the week.
  2. I’d like to hire
But I’m too lazy to start searching. I don’t want to hire just anyone since we’re handling more sensitive projects, but I’ll have to deal with it. Even though I have a small team of awesome freelancers for certain tasks, I really need someone almost full-time for production.
  3. Learn to say no
I’ve already started before taking my vacation, but more out of frustration than anything else.
I’ll use this organizational revamp to get better at saying no.
By that, I mean setting boundaries and managing projects better. We’ve ended up in tough spots too often because I said yes to everything, leaving no room for flexibility and stressing everyone out.
    And I hate unnecessary stress.
  4. Budget the company’s projects
Because yeah, for the past two years, it’s been pure YOLO. But now we’re at a point where I can’t afford to wing it anymore.
Honestly, that’s already a decent list. I think these goals are pretty achievable. And after that, we’ll aim even higher.

Anything new on the horizon?
You know me by now, right?
There’s always something new, and there always will be.
In the latest updates, a new machine is joining the team (yep, another one, lol).

Cutting machine veloblade volta 64+
Vivid Veloblade 64+

This big guy with a cutting surface of 60x90cm will help me cut holographic cards with more precision and speed, do custom packaging with industrial quality, and even fully automate sticker production, which should drive prices down (just saying).

Fun fact: I’m importing it from England (Bristol, if you want the details). It’s coming from Sticker-it, a printing company specializing in stickers (kind of like StickerApp, but in England).

They were selling it to switch to laser cutting, which is way faster given their volume (we’re not quite there yet).
But anyway, it’s super clean, reasonably priced, and comes with an optional module that lets me apply double-sided tape automatically. And that’s just pure joy!

Aside from that, a few new holographic patterns will be arriving at the end of September, but I’ll share more when the time comes.

And speaking of holographics

You might have seen on social media that we’re prepping everything needed to effectively showcase all the holographic and micro-texture effects.
It’s taking forever and costing a ton, but trust me, the result will be worth it x1000.
Same thing, updates on that are coming soon :)

Until then, take care,
Give yourself some compliments, and drink water.
